The Thirty-Seven Practices of Bodhisattvas
Author: Gyalsé Thogmé Zangpo
At the request of Garchen Triptrül Rinpoché, this text was originally translated by Ari-ma in 2002. Later, when it was proposed to set the verses in stone for the 37 Practices’ Garden at Garchen Buddhist Institute in Arizona, Garchen Rinpoché encouraged the retranslation of the text. For that purpose, this 3rd edition was completed in 2014.
Over the years Garchen Rinpoché has distributed far and wide numerous little booklets that contain the heart essence of the Buddhas’ teachings. This one was created to his specifications—small enough to fit in a breast pocket, featuring liberations on sight and on wearing on the covers, with mantras and cover color selected by Rinpoché and artwork created under his direction.
For those who wish to produce trilingual editions of this work, the booklet PDF has been designed to be customized with the addition of translations into the languages of your choice. Page dimensions are 7 x 9.9 cm with .8 cm margins on all four sides.
