(Sanskrit: Mahāmudropadeśaṁ)
Oral transmission: Mahāsiddha Tilopa
Transcription: Great Pandit Nāropa and Lotsawa Marpa Chökyi Lodrö
Tibetan translation: Marpa Chökyi Lodrö
This text, a secondary translation from Tibetan into English, was originally written by Ari-ma in 2005 without any reference to original Indic texts. This 7th edition was completed on the basis of commentary by Garchen Triptrül Rinpoché and Khenpo Yeshi.
Over the years Garchen Rinpoché has distributed far and wide numerous little booklets that contain the heart essence of the Buddhas’ teachings. This one was created to his specifications—small enough to fit in a breast pocket, featuring liberations on sight and on wearing on the covers, with mantras and cover color selected by Rinpoché and artwork created under his direction.
For those who wish to produce trilingual editions of this work, the booklet PDF has been designed to be customized with the addition of translations into the languages of your choice. Page dimensions are 7 x 9.9 cm with .8 cm margins on all four sides.
